1962
Donnie Earnhardt founded Earnhardt Grading in 1962. He transitioned from being a custom farmer to grading because of the lack of rental farm land available. Pictured here is the first Motor Grader that was purchased.
1970s
Earnhardt completed its first major project for Duke Energy which involved raising a dam above an impoundment.
1980s
Earnhardt completed our first lined landfill for a private waste company. It was the first lined landfill constructed in North Carolina.
1990s
We continue to grow our fleet and people while offering turnkey site work packages to our clients.
2000s
With an increase in technology, our Equipment was enhanced with mounted GPS systems.
2010s
We celebrated our 55th anniversary in 2017 and have had success in serving our clients. We strive to put our people first and achieved a NCDOL 1 Million Manhours without a lost time incident.
